Family:
Married  43 years to Jamie, Two married adult children - Elizabeth and Rachel, 5 grandchildren

Education:
B.A. in Elementary and Special Education from M.S.U. in 1968
M. Div. program at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School - 1969-72
Post-graduate work (PhD. candidate) in Educational Administration at M.S.U.
 
Unique Experiences:
Serving as an Advisory Board member for the Mayor's Initiative on Race and Diversity and all the related activities.

Travels:
Netherlands, Costa Rica, India, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Russia
 
Favorite ice cream:
Real Vanilla

Aside from pastor, what are some other jobs you’ve had in the past?
Spraying the insides of septic tanks (new) with creosote! Grocery Stock Work
Car Assembly Line Worker, Teacher, Special Recreation Association Director
Special Education Administrator, Public Elementary School Principal,
Camp Director

Spiritual Story (How you met the Lord):
I received Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and Ruler of my life through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ when I was a freshman at the University of Kentucky in 1964.
 
Favorite TV Show:
The custom motorcycle fabrication shows               

Favorite Bible Passage:
The Old and New Testaments! However, a passage that has deep personal meaning to me is 2Corinthians 5:18-20: 2 Cor 5:18-20:  "Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God." NASU

Favorite Part(s) of Your Position:
Teaching and preaching the Word, caring for individuals and families, overseeing the ministry of our Christian Day School, and working for unity among the churches in the city
 
Biggest Pet Peeve:
When Christians resist the Grace of God and hold offenses toward and/or refuse to be reconciled with one another.
