Application
Download a current application.
(coming soon)
Passports
NCCC trips outside the country require a passport valid until at least 6
months after the trip date. If you do not currently have an
application, visit the
US Passport Home for up to date passport information.
Fundraising
Fundraising will happen both individually and as a team. Here are some
tools that may be helpful:
Immunizations
Your trip leaders will tell you if specific immunizations are
required for your mission trip. As every destination varies greatly and we
are not health experts, we advise that you ask your doctor what immunizations
you should have for your destination area and follow his or her recommendations.
If you are opposed to receiving vaccinations you may still
participate in a New Covenant mission trip if you complete a waiver stating your
choice not to get vaccinations. The waiver will be provided for you on
request.
Insurance
Health insurance that will cover you in the destination country
is required. You can check with your current health insurance, and you can
also purchase insurance meant specifically for missionaries.
If you are traveling individually, you might want to check out
www.missiontripinsurance.com
for some options. If you are traveling with our group, we will most likely
be purchasing a less expensive group insurance plan for those who do not have
international health insurance coverage or who want additional specific
coverage.
Language
As we travel, it always helps to be able to find out where the
bathroom is, tell someone Jesus loves them, or learn someone's name. All
this requires being able to speak the language.
Your trip leader may be able to provide you with some language specific
tools. As a church we have been to Spanish speaking countries several
times, and here are some tools we have used:
