Married to Louise for 38 years, two children - Amy and Paul (Beki), one grandson – Gavin,

Education:
  • B.A. - Contemporary Ministries at Spring Arbor University, degree completed in 1974
  • M.A. - Theological Studies, Old Testament at Wheaton University, degree completed with high honors in 1982
Position:
Pastor 
 
Unique Experiences:
Eagle Scout, served as the Director of the Men's Division and then as Director of Education at Muskegon Teen Challenge, served as Senior Pastor of the Wheaton, Illinois portion of Christian Fellowship Church.
 
Special Interests:
Swimming & Fitness, Landscape & Gardening, Fly Fishing, Cave Exploration.
 
Spiritual Story:
Jesus Christ became my Savior at the age of eight at a Christian summer camp in Elkhart, IN. My grandparents and parents imparted a godly heritage to me. In high school and college I participated various ministries and church responsibilities. As a freshman at Spring Arbor, I sensed a "call" from God to serve in ministry as a major life direction.
 
Favorite Ice Cream:
Butter pecan.

Aside from pastor, what are some other jobs you’ve had in the past?
Property manager, United Parcel Service worker, Landscape company owner

Favorite TV Show:
Monday Night Football with Louise. (Yes, I am a blessed guy!)
 
Favorite Bible Passage:
Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight."
 
Favorite Part (s) of Your Position:
I enjoy encouraging people to minister their talents and gifts in ways that meet needs and glorify God. I also delight in communicating God's ways and God's Word.
 
Biggest Pet Peeve:
When we make decisions on the basis of our feelings and reactions instead of being shaped and directed by the Word of God, His principles, and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
